OAAHC receives $149,000 from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for health navigator grant

The Ohio Asian American Health Coalition announces an award of $149,397 from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.  The award is part of the Tri-State Navigator Partnership Initiative (TNPI) and OAAHC will serve Ohioans in the Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dayton regions.

TNPI will work to train and maintain a culturally competent team of expertise to provide health navigator services that are culturally and linguistically appropriate. The goal is to increase the number of individuals with access to healthcare services by enrolling individuals in the insurance marketplace through HealthCare.gov.  OAAHC will provide outreach and education to 3,500 Ohioans and enroll 600 clients through the insurance marketplace.

The Tri-State Partnership includes the Midwest Asian health Association in Illinois and the Healthy Asian Americans Project in Michigan.
